EPMA, Houston – Three EPMA project management professionals tapped into decades of experience and knowledge to provide valuable insight at the 2019 Project Management Institute (PMI) Houston Conference and Expo held on June 3 and June 4 at NRG Center in Houston, TX. Increasing it’s speaking engagements from previous years conferences, the EPMA project management authorities expanded their outreach and shared their expertise with a growing audience of project management professionals.

Managing Your Career as a Project Management Professional

The theme of the 2019 PMI Houston Conference focused on guiding project management professionals in managing their own careers. The event featured a four-stage approach to cultivating a PM career to include Launching Your Career, Charting Your Course, Sharpening Your Edge and Building Your Legacy. Each career stage was addressed within the scope of Technical Project Management, Strategic and Business Management or Leadership. The conference offered forty-six breakout sessions hosted by industry leaders to address each career stage during the two-day conference.

In his presentation, Ron provided new modeling techniques to benefit even the most seasoned project manager, as well.

EPMA Celebrates Eight-Year Anniversary with the Grand Opening of New Houston Headquarters

EPMA hosted clients, business partners and guests at its Houston headquarters to celebrate the company’s eight-year anniversary and the grand opening of the new campus. Guests were treated to a tour of the office featuring exhibitions of EPMA products and services with a live demonstration of EPMA’s latest development, PPMVUE, a user-friendly and completely customizable project dashboard and reporting tool. The event culminated in a moving address from EPMA Founder and CEO, Michael Samadi, in reflection of the company’s eight-year journey to success.

The Journey of EPMA

Having spent his entire life in London, at the age of twenty-seven Samadi moved to Houston to pursue the American dream of prosperity. After a lucrative twelve-year career as a consultant for the nation’s largest consulting firms, including Microsoft, Samadi left his job to build EPMA, “I left my job and started this company because I wanted to deliver REAL value to clients…I genuinely started this because I was passionate that my idea could actually impact an entire industry” said Samadi. As an IT Project Manager in the early 2000’s, he quickly realized that organizations relied far too much on technology to solve all of their problems and developed the EPMA method of integrating People and Process with Technology. This proven method is the foundation of EPMA’s eight-year success and has allowed them to branch out beyond project management consulting to provide staffing, Cloud Hosting, application development and support for their clients.
